Piano Soiree plays Notes Without Borders

Piano Soiree 2025 marks the fourth edition of this extraordinary concert series, which began in 2022. Emerging from the Kenyan Conservatoire of Music, it gathers teachers, students, and friends of the institution in a joyful celebration of collaboration, artistry, and shared passion.

The concert consists entirely of ensemble performances, showcasing stunning post-classical original works and arrangements for four, six, and even eight hands on a single instrument. Unlike a traditional piano concert, this event also embraces the essence of a soiree by incorporating interspersed interaction with the audience.

This sense of togetherness transforms every performance into an unforgettable experience of unity through music.

The 2025 edition is themed, Notes Without Borders: A Tapestry of Sounds Inspired by Nature and Cultures – honoring the rich diversity of musical traditions from around the globe, weaving them into a single harmonious journey. Audiences can look forward to an inspired repertoire that spans continents – from the lively rhythms of Argentina and Brazil, to the delicate sounds of Japan and Korea, and the soulful melodies of Nigeria and beyond.

We cordially invite you to an evening where music knows no boundaries, cultures blend seamlessly, and the piano serves as a voice for both nature and humanity.

“Jogoo Wa Shamba Wawika Mjini” hit different. It nailed the shags-meets-city vibe installations that make you think about where you’re from vs where you are. Layers, textures, and real cultural depth. Worth the visit if you appreciate art that speaks to the Kenyan experience. Highly recommend! 🎨
