This year Art Auction East Africa is collaborating with renowned South African auction house Strauss & Co.

Art Auction East Africa | Strauss & Co will take place in Nairobi on 5 November 2025, live at Circle Art Gallery at 7pm EAT, and broadcast online on the Strauss & Co Invaluable platform. Bidding can be live, online, absentee or on the telephone.

The auction features 63 lots, evenly split between modern and contemporary works, representing artists from 10 countries. Highlights include the earliest work in the sale, a 1961 painting by Tanzanian artist Francis Msangi, appearing in our auction for the first time. Also debuting are works by celebrated artist Sam Ntiro, Daudi E. S. Tingatinga (son of Edward Tingatinga), Pilkington Ssengendo, Mishek Masamvu, and Hussein Shariffe.

All the auction Lots will be on display two weeks prior to the auction at Circle Art Gallery with a preview party on 22 October 2025 from 6 – 8pm alongside various events leading up to the auction.
