Friends of Karura Race Series • Season 2

In partnership with Friends of Karura and Team Jasho, we are excited to bring you the Friends of Karura Race Series.  Usually held on the third or fourth Sunday of each month, this 5km/10km series is the ideal way to stay motivated and connect with other runners.

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Karura Forest, the series also includes a 3km kids’ event.  Each race is chip-timed, allowing you to track your progress across the year.

The series is split into two five-race seasons, with a medal awarded for each season.  You can register for a single season or, at the start of the year, take advantage of a discounted full-year entry.

What is the series schedule? Events start at 8:00am, usually on the third or fourth Sunday of the month.  Dates for 2026 are:

• Season 1: 18th Jan (Third Sunday), 22nd Feb (Fourth Sunday), 22nd March (Fourth Sunday), 26th April (Fourth Sunday), 17th May (Third Sunday)
• Season 2: 14th Jun (Second Sunday), 30th Aug (Fifth Sunday), 20th Sept (Third Sunday), 18th Oct (Third Sunday), 15th Nov (Third Sunday)

Where are the races? All races take place in Karura Forest, Block A.  We congregate in Amani Gardens (River Cafe car park)
